Historic sand dunes: Near the Bharja River at the southern end lie massive natural sand dunes, believed to have been formed by a historic tsunami.
Birdwatching haven: Free from loud watersports, the calm winter shoreline welcomes migratory birds including gulls, sandwich terns and colourful kingfishers.
Culture & heritage: Kelshi village is home to the historic Mahalaxmi Temple and the 17th-century Yakub Baba Dargah, patronised by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
“Visitors often compliment the welcoming village life, the warm hospitality of local hosts and their superb home-cooked Konkani meals.”
