Itinerary FAQs

Planning your days

How many days are enough for Dapoli?

Two days covers the highlights — beaches, a dolphin safari, Suvarnadurg fort and Anjarle. Three days lets you add the temples and caves at a relaxed pace.

Can I do Dapoli as a day trip from Mumbai or Pune?

It's possible but tiring — it's a 4.5 to 6 hour drive each way. An overnight stay is strongly recommended so you can catch the early-morning dolphin safari.

What time should I go for the dolphin safari?

Be at the beach by 6:45–7:00 AM. Dolphins are rarely seen after 10 AM as the water warms and boat traffic increases.
